History

Beginning in 1973, Robert A. Nass started acquiring single and multi-family units in Berks and Lancaster Counties, Pennsylvania. By 1979, he had acquired 36 rental properties with the majority being single family dwellings.

From 1983 to 1985, Mr. Nass was a commercial builder in Pennsylvania. During this period he was involved in the construction of custom homes throughout both counties.

From 1985 to 1988, Mr. Nass expanded into the development, construction and management of commercial and residential real estate. During this period he developed and constructed over two dozen residential and commercial properties valued at over $4 million. These properties ranged in price from $150,000 to over $600,000 and surround a picturesque golf community in Pennsylvania known as Galen Hall.

From 1988 to Current, Mr. Nass began to explore the real estate market in the Southeast. During this period he purchased many properties, both individually and with long time partner and attorney Jonathan Lichtman. Mr. Nass found that his experience in the construction industry lent itself well to purchasing apartment communities mainly owned by lenders. In most cases, these properties were in need of deferred maintenance and/or complete rehabilitation. Many had low occupancy rates, severe mechanical issues and each required a definitive plan of action ranging from simple cosmetic repair to complete renovation. Every site was improved through strong management and diligent attention to detail. A number of the properties were sold to investors through private placements controlled by Mr. Nass and Mr. Lichtman.

Recently, Mr. Lichtman and Mr. Nass formed LN Development Group, LLC to purchase and develop apartment complexes and other real estate in the Southeastern United States.

Current Apartment Complexes

Chimney’s at Brookfield, Columbia, South Carolina, is a 259 unit Apartment Complex located on 20 acres. The Property consists of 32 buildings with 86 one bedroom apartments, 138 two bedroom apartments and 39 three bedroom apartments. Chimney’s was purchased on May 8, 2015 for $9.1 million.

Tanglewood Apartments, Tallahassee, Florida, is a 112 unit Apartment Complex located on 9 acres. The Property consists of 15 buildings with 36 one bedroom apartments, 64 two bedroom apartments, 12 three bedroom apartments. Tanglewood was purchased on September 1, 2014 for $5.25 million.

Charter Landing, Jacksonville, Florida, is a 332 unit Apartment Complex located on 27 acres. The Property consists of 16 two and three story buildings with 86 one bedroom apartments, 12 one bedroom lofts, 154 two bedroom apartments, 50 two bedroom townhouses, 18 three bedroom apartments and 12 three bedroom townhouses. Charter was purchased on September 26, 2014 for $12.9 million.

Meredith Square, Columbia, South Carolina, is a 144 unit Apartment Complex located on 15 acres. The Property consists of 20 buildings with 22 two bedroom apartments, 58 two bedroom townhouses, 22 three bedroom apartments and 42 three bedroom townhomes. Meredith was purchased on January 28, 2014 for $8.9 million.

Woodland Hollow Apartments, Charlotte, North Carolina, is a 246 unit Apartment Complex located on 18 acres. The Property consists of 44 one bedroom apartments, 76 two bedroom apartments, 98 two bedroom townhouses, 8 three bedroom apartments and 20 three bedroom townhouses. Woodland was purchased on October 25, 2013 for $6.30 million.

Planter’s Crossing, Tallahassee, Florida, is a 105 unit Apartment Complex located on 8 acres. The Property consists of 13 buildings with 24 one bedroom, 65 two bedroom and 16 three bedroom apartments. Planter’s was purchased on June 24, 2013 for $4.00 million.

Reserve at Lake Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina, is a 188 unit Apartment Complex located on 25 acres. The Property consists of 7 buildings with 66 one bedroom, 110 two bedroom and 12 three bedroom apartments. Reserve was purchased on February 26, 2013 for $11.85 million.

Parklane Apartments, Columbia, South Carolina, is a 288 unit Apartment Complex located on 20 acres. The Property consists of 30 buildings with 12 studio apartments, 92 one bedroom, 160 two bedroom and 24 three bedroom apartments. Parklane was purchased on July 2, 2012 for $9.59 million.

Windrush Village Apartments, Tallahassee, Florida, is a 210 unit Apartment Complex located on 15 acres. The Property consists of 26 buildings with 102 one bedroom apartments, 38 two bedroom apartments, 37 three bedroom apartments and 33 three bedroom townhouses. Windrush was purchased on December 15, 2011 for $7.25 million.

Maple Run Apartments, Charlotte, North Carolina, is a 310 unit Apartment Complex located on 30 acres. The Property consists of 38 one bedroom apartments, 173 two bedroom apartments, 39 two bedroom townhouses and 60 three bedroom apartments. Maple Run was purchased on May 6, 2011 for $5.55 million.

Townes at University Pointe, Tallahassee, Florida, is a 428 unit Apartment Complex located on 27 acres. The Property consists of 53 buildings with 20 one bedroom apartments, 142 one bedroom townhouses, 136 two bedroom townhouses and 130 three bedroom townhomes. Townes was purchased on November 2, 2010 for $7.35 million.

Magnolia Point Apartments, Jacksonville, Florida, is a 229 unit Apartment Complex located on 13 acres. The Property consists of 28 buildings with 83 one bedroom, 106 two bedroom and 40 three bedroom apartments. Magnolia was purchased on April 15, 2010 for $3.9 million.

Camaron at Woodcrest, Tallahassee, Florida, is a 222 unit Apartment Complex located on 15 acres. The Property consists of 32 buildings with 48 one bedroom, 108 two bedroom, 32 three bedroom apartments and 34 two and three bedroom townhomes. Camaron was purchased on May 21, 2009 for $9.3 million.

Mountain View Apartments, Galen Hall, Pennsylvania, was built by Robert Nass beginning in 1976. The property consists of 11 buildings with 65 units on 40 wooded acres overlooking the historic Galen Hall Country Club.

Courtyards at San Jose, Jacksonville, Florida, is a 90 unit apartment complex located on 4 acres. The Property has 7 buildings consisting of 54 one-bedroom, 29 two-bedroom and 7 three-bedroom apartments. Courtyards at San Jose was purchased in 2006 for $2.1 million. Abandoned by the previous owner, $4 million was invested after a complete tear-down and rebuild process of the property. A recent appraisal dated October 13, 2011 valued the Property at $8,220,000.

Twin Lakes Apartments, Maitland, Florida, is a 247 unit Apartment Complex located on 16 acres. The Property consists of 23 buildings with 5 efficiencies, 108 one bedroom, 86 two bedroom and 48 three bedroom apartments.

Willow Wood Apartments, Lakeland, Florida, is a 120 unit Apartment Complex located on 7.11 acres. The Property consists of 19 buildings with 28 one bedroom and 92 two bedroom apartments.

Mallards Landing Townhomes and Villas, Ltd., Jacksonville, Florida, is a 200 unit Apartment Complex located on 11 acres. The Property consists of 31 buildings with 36 one bedroom, 138 two bedroom and 26 three bedroom apartments.

Handley Apartments, Ltd, Lakeland, Florida, consists of 52 apartment units with a 16 unit building, 4 duplexes and 7 quads.

The Palms Apartments, West Palm Beach, Florida, is a 200 unit Apartment Complex located on 12 acres. The Property consists of 23 buildings with 120 one bedroom and 80 two bedroom apartments. Oakcreek Apartments, Jacksonville, Florida, is a 212 unit Apartment Complex located on 13 acres. The Property consists of 23 buildings with 92 one bedroom and 120 two bedroom apartments.

Other Properties

Halifax Professional Building, Daytona, Florida, is a commercial office building located on 5 acres. The Property consists of a 6 floor, 15,600 square foot office building, parking spaces and an adjacent 2.5 acre parcel zoned for commercial construction.

Deland Industrial Park, Deland, Florida, is a 25 acre Industrial Park zoned and permitted for the construction of 450,000 square feet of light industrial buildings.

1755 Lexington Avenue, LLC, Deland, Florida, is an 18,000 square foot light industrial warehouse located adjacent to the Deland Airport.

The Skyline Lodge and Restaurant, Highlands, North Carolina, is a historic lodge constructed in 1928. The Skyline Lodge is a 51 unit resort hotel with a 100 seat gourmet restaurant and a 90 seat bar/lounge. Amenities include a health spa, swimming pool, gazebo with jacuzzi, two tennis courts, trails, waterfall and a private lake with a dam.

Laurel Falls at Skyline, Highlands, North Carolina, is a planned luxury residential community with 30 one and two acre building lots. The land surrounds the historic Skyline Lodge and home owners may use the hotel facilities. To date, 17 homes have been constructed on this land with an aggregate sales price of $14.7 million. The remaining undeveloped lots are valued in excess of $1.9 million.

Sawgrass Volusia, Deland, Florida, is a 40 acre parcel of land with 950 feet of frontage on Highway 92 just west of the Daytona International Speedway being developed as an over 55 manufactured housing community.

Mustang Pointe Aerodrome, Deland, Florida, is a hangar development located on 13 acres at the Deland Airport to construct and sell 30 corporate airplane condo hangers (from 2,500 to 10,000 square feet).
